Meet the Team

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Treatment Coordinator

“The best part of my job is working with a really great team of people who are dedicated to taking excellent care of the families who come to our practice. I love meeting everyone who comes in for a consultation and having them leave feeling excited to start of the process of improving their smile!”

Christine has an A.S. in Dental Hygiene and has been at Bateman Orthodontics since 2013. She meets with new patients and families, introducing them to our office and team. She next takes initial records, including photos and X-rays, and after Dr. Bateman develops his treatment recommendation, reviews it with the family, explaining the next steps in their journey.

When she’s not introducing people to the wonders of orthodontics, Christine is busy with her husband, two teenage sons, and the family puppy. The school year is filled with cross country and track meets, as well as music performances, and the family enjoys hiking and exploring together, too. Christine is always happy when she’s working on a new craft project – if she can find the time!

Financial Coordinator

“I enjoy meeting new people and reassuring them that the decision they’ve made to straighten their teeth will result in a beautiful smile and lifetime of happiness. I find the greatest pleasure in developing relationships with patients and their families and sharing in the excitement of the journey to a confident smile!”

Maureen has worked in the dental field since 1996, first as a dental assistant and then moving to the front office. She joined Bateman Orthodontics in 2019, taking care of insurance claims and billing, as well as patient accounts and collections.

When she’s not at the office, Maureen enjoys being with her husband and two beautiful children. She’s serious about working out, too, kickboxing and boxing most days of the week, and taking pride in being good shape and healthy. For Maureen, taking care of her health is important, so she can stay around as long as possible to enjoy life and the people in it.

Scheduling Coordinator

“My favorite part of my job is getting to know our patients and their families. I like welcoming them by name and seeing them smile as they come through the door! I love watching patients start their treatment journey, seeing them change along the way, and then sharing in their happiness with their new smile!”

Amy joined Bateman Orthodontics in 2016, having worked in the dental field since 2002. She greets patients when they arrive, is one of the friendly voices on the phone, and is here to help with scheduling needs. She’s also available to answer questions about treatment and account concerns.

In her time away from the office, Amy enjoys local art festivals, cheering for her three children at their soccer games, and time at local parks and playgrounds. She loves living and working in her hometown and running into familiar faces through the office.

Scheduling Coordinator

“There is a quote I truly believe, ‘Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ I love everything about my job: the people, the atmosphere, and the smiles!”

Jessica joined Bateman Orthodontics in 2018, having started in the dental field in 2016. She answers our phones, greets patients, and is more than happy to help our patients and families with anything they need.

Outside the office, Jessica is busy with her fiancé, her young daughter who’s a soccer diva and soon-to-be Junior Brockport Blizzard, and her stepson, who lives for hockey. The family also includes two pet turtles. Weekends often involve family game nights at their home.

Lead Clinical Assistant / Lab Technician

“I love making my patient feel comfortable and keeping them smiling while they develop their best smile!”

Shannon started in the dental field in 1997 and is currently enrolled in the CDAMP Dental Assisting program. She joined us in 2016. As Lead Clinical Assistant, she works in the clinic, providing direct patient care and assisting Dr. Bateman with procedures.

Beyond the office, Shannon is the mother of two wonderful children and two amazing Boxers. She loves animals and nature and is very involved in the community, especially the sports department in her district. Shannon loves the Buffalo Bills, and watching sports, but most of all she loves her children and family, her job, and her patients.

Orthodontic Assistant

“We are more than a team—we are family. I love working together with everyone here to achieve the same goal. We always want what is best for our patients no matter what, and we help each other do that to the best of our ability. Whether it be providing top quality care in the treatment area, working with the schedule up front, or just plain laughing together. We love our patients, and it shows in everything we do.”

Jamie’s job entails providing excellent patient care, which includes assisting in placing and removing braces, changing archwires and ligatures, taking impressions, and much more. Jamie really enjoys visiting with our patients. It brings joy to her heart when she can be a part of someone’s journey to a beautiful smile. Her main goal is for the patient to feel comfortable and happy throughout each appointment.

Jamie and her husband enjoy traveling and volunteering for people in need. They have been to South America, all over the Caribbean, and many places right here in the states. Jamie loves animals, and while she has only one dog, Quinn, she lives across from a large farm where she sees hundreds of cows grazing in the fields and gets visits from all the barn cats.

Orthodontic Assistant

“My favorite part of my job is being able to touch a patient’s life in a positive way. We give them a reason to smile, and to be confident in that smile! Making our patients feel special is the best feeling in the world and I couldn’t ask for a more rewarding career.”

Chelsea graduated from a dental assisting program in 2012. She then took her boards and became a licensed dental assistant. Chelsea works at Bateman Orthodontics on Fridays, where she offers patient care, oral hygiene education, and addresses patient concerns. Monday through Thursday, she works as a Lead Surgical Assistant in a periodontal office. She loves that both positions allow her to be part of transforming smiles. Prior to joining the dental field, Chelsea was in nursing.

Originally from Tampa, Chelsea loves living in Rochester. She and her husband, Chris, have a beautiful family of six children. They travel as often as possible, seeing new places and meeting new people. When they’re not traveling, the family enjoys hiking, football, bike riding, camping, volunteering, and time with extended family.
